Dr. Semih Gungor is a board-certified anesthesiologist who has specialized in pain medicine since 2001. Trained at Hospital for Special Surgery, Dr. Gungor returns with more than two years of experience as Faculty and Director of the Bellevue Pain Clinic at New York University Hospital, one of the largest pain clinics in the world. Dr. Gungor is the Medical Director of the HSS Ambulatory Pain Medicine Program and the Director of Pain Medicine Research in the Department of Anesthesiology. He believes that each patient with a pain problem is unique and requires comprehensive assessment with only the highest quality of pain-focused medical care available to treat their pain condition. The most recent and advanced diagnostic technologies coupled with the latest and individualized medical, physiatric, psychological and interventional therapies can diagnose and treat patient conditions successfully. By providing timely, efficient and thorough care, Dr. Gungor's goal is to achieve the most optimal level of functionality for all patients.
